Staffing Specialist

What are your main roles/responsibilities?

At Placers, my main role is being a staffing specialist, helping others find jobs. However, the goal isn’t just placing anyone into any vacancy.  I  strive to put people where they will excel, grow, and enjoy their work so it evolves into career. I also am responsible for “Gorientation,” and  being a good overall team player with coworkers. I try to keep the work atmosphere light and fun while taking care of all my responsibilities.

What is your background?

I have bachelors degree in journalism from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. I am also a certified personal trainer through ISSA, which is also my most recent experience.

In the past, I have managed, coached, and worked all sorts of odd jobs through college before finally becoming a staffing specialist here at Placers. 

What is your favorite part about being a Placer?

My favorite is twofold: The combination of helping people paired with working alongside of a great group of people — all with similar interests and values. 

What was your dream job when you were a kid?

My dream job was being some sort of professional athlete. At first it was football, then basketball, then baseball. I have always loved sports and being around sports. 

What’ does a typical day  off look like for you? 

Nothing too crazy, I love spending time with my dog, going on long walks, or to the park with him. I also love doing seasonal activities – corn mazes and pumpkin patches around halloween time and of course seeing Christmas lights around the holiday season. When in doubt, I spend my free time watching or playing sports.
